An official website of the Velocity Interoperability Network

Current vacancies

The positions below have been notified to the Careers Office by the departments of the Velocity Interoperability Network. Each is advertised at a grade on the common pay structure and remains listed until its closing date. The list was last updated on 6 September 2026 and is revised as departments notify new positions or fill existing ones.

A vacancy is filled through the same enlistment form as a general enlistment. The only difference is that you quote the reference of the vacancy in your statement, which tells the department which position you have in mind. A candidate who does not have a particular vacancy in view may enlist without a reference and will be considered as positions are established.

The Careers Office publishes vacancies exactly as departments notify them. Questions about the duties of a position, or about whether particular experience is suitable, should be put to the department concerned once it has acknowledged your enlistment. Questions about this page may be sent to contact@careers.gov.vin.

Closing dates are inclusive. The organisation named is the department that will receive and assess enlistments quoting the reference; the full name of each department is given on the enlistment form.

Responding to a vacancy

The steps below apply to every vacancy on this page. They are the ordinary enlistment procedure with one addition: the reference.

  1. Step 1: Note the reference

Every vacancy has a reference of the form VIN-XXX-26-000. The department uses it to match your enlistment to the position, so copy it exactly.

  2. Step 2: Choose the department that notified the vacancy

On the enlistment form, select the department shown in the Organisation column. An enlistment is passed only to the department named on it, so a vacancy cannot be reached through another department.

  3. Step 3: Quote the reference in your statement

Begin your statement with the reference and the title of the role. Then address the summary of the vacancy: say what you have done that bears on it. The department's own questions follow the statement and must also be answered.

  4. Step 4: Submit before the closing date

Enlistments quoting a reference are accepted up to and including the closing date. After that the reference is closed and the vacancy is removed from this page at the next update. A late enlistment is still passed to the department as a general enlistment, without the reference.

Start an enlistment. For the procedure in full, see How enlistment works; for what a department does with an enlistment once it arrives, see Selection and appointment.

About each position

Each department supplies a short summary of the position with its notification. The summaries are reproduced here without alteration. The grade determines the pay and notice period of the post; see Terms and conditions of service.

Departments notifying vacancies

2 departments are currently enlisting through the Careers Office. Each notifies the Office of the positions it wishes to fill, together with a reference, a grade and a closing date, and the Office publishes them here on the day they are received.

Further departments of the Velocity Interoperability Network will begin enlisting as they establish positions. When they do, their vacancies will appear on this page and the department will be added to the enlistment form.
